Itinerary

Day 1Jodhpur (Arrival)

On arrival at Jodhpur, you can check into the hotel. After rest, you will be taken to Mehrangarh Fort. This is a magnificent structure that is perched atop a hill. From here, you get to see the entire city dotted with blue houses. The fort is built entirely of red sandstone; it has extensive courtyards, palatial period rooms, and latticed windows. Mehrangarh Fort stands as a testimony to various battles. There are several rooms in the fort which preserve priceless belongings of the royals such as textiles, palanquins, arms, and artifacts.

During your Rajasthan trip, you will be taken for a short walk from the Mehrangarh Fort to another prominent landmark of Jodhpur, the Jaswant Thada. This mausoleum is adorned in white marble and built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. You can also visit the Sardar Market which is located near the clock tower in the city. It is quite famous for its textiles that come in different prints, as well as leather footwear and many other artifacts. Through shopping around the local markets, you will get a brief history of the city’s true essence.

Later, you will be brought to the hotel for an overnight stay

Day 2Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (Drive)

 

You can check out from the hotel for your next destination on the Rajasthan trip plan which is Jaisalmer. The city was founded by Maharana Jaisal Singh in 1156 AD. This city is a part of the great Indian Thar Desert featuring several Havelis built by the royal merchants of the city.

As you arrive in Jaisalmer, you can check into the hotel and rest. The day will be for leisure activities followed by an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 3Jaisalmer (Sightseeing)

On day 3 of the tour, you will be taken for sightseeing around Jaisalmer. This city is famous for its massive fort, also known as Sonar Quila. Jaisalmer Fort bustles with several shops, hotels and old havelis. It is said to be the only living fort in the whole of India. You can see many attractions like the Raj Mahal (royal palace), Laxminath Temple and many other Jain Temples. It also has a museum consisting of collections of the royals. Other attractions you can see while in Jaisalmer are Patwon-ki-Haveli and 14th-century built Gadsisar Lake by Maharawal Gadsi to conserve the rainwater.

Later, you will be driven to the west of the city at Sam Sand Dunes for a camel ride to the Sunset Point to have an unforgettable experience. (Direct payment basis). You will be driven back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 4Jaisalmer to Bikaner (Drive)

The next day you can check out from the hotel and continue your Rajasthan tours India to Bikaner. This stunning city located alongside glistening desert lies in the northern region of the state founded by the Rathore Prince- Rao Bikaji in 1488 AD. Bikaner is famous for Camel Safaris but it also boasts of the world’s largest camel research Centre along with a breeding farm.

On arrival at Bikaner, you will be taken to Junagarh Fort built in 1593 AD by Raja Rai Singh, the sixth ruler of the city. Some of the best attractions inside the fort are Ganga Niwas, Anup Mahal, and Rang Mahal. You can discover rich treasures in the museum. You will also be taken to visit the Laxmi Niwas Palace which gives a great example of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. It now serves as a luxury hotel.

Thereafter, you will also be taken to the National Research Centre on Camel which spreads over an area of more than 2000 acres. While spending your time here, you can learn about the camels and also take a walk along the camel museum which helps you learn about the developmental aspects of the research work.

You will be returned to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5Bikaner to Jaipur (Drive and Sightseeing)

After checking out from the hotel in Bikaner, you will be driven to Jaipur. On arrival, you can check into the hotel and rest for a while. In the noon, you will be taken to sightsee the famous City Palace. It is built with impressive granite and marble complementing the architecture of Mughal and Rajput. You will also be taken to see the ground floor of the ‘Chandra Mahal Palace’ which is still inhabited by the former royal family.

You can tour Rajasthan’s famous museums; Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum located inside the City Palace displays various artifacts of the former royalty. You can find an array of royal possessions which includes arms, inscriptions, costumes, and paintings. Within the palace premises, you can also visit the Govind Devji Temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Later, you can visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar which is an observatory. You can see a good collection of instruments that were once used for astronomical studies. Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is one of the largest observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh II.

After the tour, you will be driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6Jaipur (Sightseeing) Departure

On the last day of the tours of Rajasthan India, you will be taken to Amber Fort. Mid-way to the fort, you will also be taken to see the Hawa Mahal which is a prominent tourist attraction in the city. The small honeycombed windows in the monument were built using pink sandstone which was used by the royal ladies to watch processions passing the streets.

On arriving at the Amber Fort, you can take a ride to the top of the fort gate on an elephant. You can discover this history and the expansive courtyards along with their palatial period rooms.

Later, you will be driven to the hotel to check out and return home after completion of the trip.
